That’s the point where smart people would ditch the airgun and go with a .22. Even a Ruger 10/22 costs less. almost all .22 ammo outputs more power than a .177 pellet, almost all .22lr (or .22long) shoots at least 1100 fps. You will not need that much speed because the bullets are heavier.
The .22lr also has subsonic loads to make it quieter, than it already is. and its more than powerful enough to kill plenty of small stuff.
