Is there a law prohibiting certain firearms from being used in hunting?

Any answers that you have, with legitimate sources would be great. Or perhaps you can point me in the direction of a good website.

How do I get a hunting and gun license?

I’ve wanted to get a hunting license for years, but no one in my family would ever help me get one. I’m finally old enough to get one by myself, but I’m unclear on the process. I’ve been on google but every website I go to seems vague and confuses me. Also, to go with the hunting license I assume I would need some sort of a weapon license (either gun or bow) to hunt with. This is my last resort, please help!
Also, if it matters to the answer, I’m in New Jersey.
